About the Women’s Fund
The Women‟s Fund is a component fund of the Kenosha Community Foundation that supports programs and organizations that create opportunities for women and children through direct grant and responsive philanthropy. The Fund, started by a group of Kenosha women who are dedicated to improving the well being and quality of life of women and children in Kenosha County, is open to receiving tax deductible contributions of any amount throughout the year. Since 1998, the Women’s Fund has distributed nearly $50,000 in grants to non-profit organizations throughout Kenosha County.
The Kenosha Community Foundation, organized in 1926 as a tax-exempt public charity, actively manages permanent endowments established by individuals, families and business organizations as well as field of interest funds, such as The Women’s Fund. As a public charity gifts to the Foundation provide the maximum tax advantage to the donor and provide a cost effective method to carry out long term charitable goals.
