Comic book artists are at the center of Kenosha’s July Pop-Up Gallery—a one night only exhibition with artwork, music and more.

Kenosha’s own, nationally syndicated comic strip artist John Hambrock (“The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee”), Dan Pavelich (“Just Say Uncle – Kenosha News “Kenosha County:”), Ryan Pagelow (Webcomic-“Buni”) will be featured along with the legendary comic artistJohn Porcellino, creator of “King-Cat,” the oldest running comic zine in the country.

On view will be a large wall-size grid showing all the pages of Porcellino’s whimsical 2008 illustrated book Thoreau at Walden (Center for Cartoon Studies), as well as paintings by Bess Yontz depicting an enchanted world inhabited by dragons and all sorts of imaginary monsters.

Also in the mix are “Made in Kenosha” products marketed by Mary Pat Andrea, hand-painted signs by Dean Tawwater, artworks by Kenosha Art Association members, a wonderful display of abstract portraits by Kenosha Public School third-graders and more.

Do not miss it!
