Ronald Paul Larson:
“Born in Kenosha, WI, I served in the U.S. Army after high school, photographed the Mujahideen in Afghanistan in 1985, and received a B. A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in History and Communication Arts. Afterward, I worked as the Head Text Researcher on the documentary “The Revolutionary War” for The Learning Channel that won the cable Ace award for Best Documentary Series in 1995. I then wrote educational CD-ROMS, was an embedded print reporter with the U.S. Army during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, and received an MA in History from the California State University, Fullerton in 2005. In 2011, I went to Libya to experience and record (photography and video) the revolt against Gadaffi. In the summer of 2013 I spent two weeks in Aleppo, Syria. I am technically in the Ph.D. History program at UW-Milwaukee.
I will be presenting photos and video from my trips to Libya (2011) and Syria (2013) this Friday evening at Fusion”
